Want to wish everyone on here a very happy creative 2010. I'll try come on more often to enjoy all that you're writing.
Lots of love,
M
Today, I'm up. Have decided to go for the last bid the seller has done on a house I wanted to buy. Seen a mortgage expert to ensure I can pay it, got confirmation and went ahead.
SoI'm gonna be owning my own little house. Not in the country, but still. Me own place, with large bedrooms for the kids. Making them happy too.
In the meantime, my husband's staying at his 'friend's' flat for a month, making life a bit easier too. 's Not like we can't handle each other, mind. It's just a hell of a lot easier not having him around all the time. Can do whatever I want wherever I want. Is loads better.
I've been given the opportunity to stay in said 'friend's' house too and I tried, believe me I tried. It's just that....missing the kids, being all by my lonely self in a house that isn't mine.......I just couldn't do it. We were opting to take turns every week for a month, but I butted out. He can stay there. The owner's really not my friend to begin with. She's one of his new conquests and although I appreciate her and I'm not jealous (seriously I'm not, she can have him!), staying in her house by myself without the children.....just didn't work.
So I'm back at our shared house, living close to work and feeling comfortable. We've lived here for almost 16 years. It's my place too.
As for the future, my husband (soon to be ex) is gonna buy me out, sending me off with some extra money cos the house is worth double the price we payed for it. With this money, I'll be able to buy me a new house and having found one makes me really happy. I'll survive.
This weekend will be a blast. I'll be going UK to meet up with loads of Muse friends, looking fwd to that a lot. Getting the hell out for a few days will do me good.
That's it, basically, for the update. You all know what I'm going through (exept work stuff which is hectic too atm, but can't tell you about that). I'm trying to read up on the community as much as i can and am thoroughly enjoying all I read. Keep going, please. One day I will have read up.

M
me and my hubby are going to split up
we're not fighting or anything, mind
we just fell out of love
if we were ever pwopa IN love in the first place
all i know is that he's still my best friend
and I am his
but we don't wanna live together any longer
we want to be able to move on
maybe meet 'the love of our lives'
or just fall in love with someone else
or just be happy alone
frankly.....we are separating cos we want each other to be happy and we both can't make the other happy, truely happy, any longer....
sounds odd, but it's true
i care for him
he cares for me
letting go is a part of loving someone
all the same, it's not easy to make that kind of a decision
we have two wonderful beautiful children together, aged 15 and 11
they took it in an amazing way
they were sad and shocked at first, but they're both so amazingly strong...
they seem to understand
for now anyway
so yeah....telling them was hardest part
still.......we're not the kinda people who are scared to move on, scared to make decisions because they might hurt but will be best in the end
not even for the children
we're pretty sure all they want in the end is for us all to be happy
and we won't be if we were to remain living together
things will go sour, I'm sure
all this means I'm kinda preoccupied with my own situation
still love reading all your stuff, but not every single day
your writings gets my mind off of stuff, which is a good thing
I need that, now and then
who knows....maybe when I'm all settled anew.....might try something myself
don't keep your hopes up, tho LOL
anyway........just so you know......
meanwhile: keep writing!!!!!

NME Awards 2008
Interview
Interviewer: Congratulations. How does it feel to be an NME Awards winner again?
Dom: Ah..it's.....it feels amazing....to win an NME award, cos it's a great award (puts up fuckyoufinga), it looks cool, you know...a good solid bronze piece [sarcasm dripping off of his face, Chris laughing his ass of behind him]. So...errr...it's a nice thing to win and it feels good to get a 'live band' again, it's great.
I: Should we name this after you, this award? You've won it a few times.
Dom: It's bizarre....but....yeah, we've...err....I guess we like playing live, you know? We like it! And we like to put every ounce of energy and soul into it, so, err.....It's nice to win it. It's nice to be, you know, recognised for being good at that, so it's, err...it's great! [Eyes drooling, tries to keep a straight face, Chris still giggling....:-)]
I: How do you, how does, I mean..how....Does it make you feel, obviously, it's voted for by fans and after sort of playing gigs as big as Wembley and that, it's sort of strange you've not lost that....you're not disconnected from them?
Dom: Err...any award that is voted for by fans really means the most, you know? Because I think that there are other things out there that are chosen by people whooo....think they know better, but to be voted for by the fans, it means the most, clearly. And err....yeah....and the things I guess we've done, like the Wembley shows last year blew our minds. I mean, we had such a great time and the audience was so cool, so...you know [looks in camera] thans to all those guys for voting for us, if they did, you know. Cheers to them [looks in cam again with cheeky smile].
I: How are you gonna celebrate tonight?
Matt: The [inaudibly pronounced name of venue?] is all stuck in a business district of err....of...of London...so...it's new, it's new territory, basically. We'll see what happens. I'm sure, I'm sure you guys all have a good, err...aftershow prize [?] So we're gonna check out, but it's difficult, it's difficult to find them. We're..I think the all the nightlife here is gonna be a sortof [?] executive [....I really really can't understand what he says here]...doing some share trading or something. No, I dunno man, you know, we'll see. Who knows what goes on there....hope it's gonna be good. [or something like that, I don't know LOL]
I: Where will you be displaying the award you've won tonight this year? Do you have a lot of [huh?]
M: I've got, I've already got a couple of NME's on my mantle 'cos it's the BEST looking award obviously. It's definately ...errr....[scratches chin] you know, it's err nice, as Dom said it's a nice bronze piece. But this one. I have to get this one to my mum. See if she can take it on her mantle piece.....it's gonna be.....offend the neighbours. I think err, it's nice to have at least one offensive statue on any one's mantlepiece......mmmm.....mental piece [looks in camara...giggles....Chris breaks out laughing]
I: If Muse could hand out an award tonight to someone here, is there anyone particular you wanna give an award to?
Matt: They should have, they should have an award for the most 'missed' band. You know? You know, some band that no one has ever seen or heard for like years but we all wish they were around, you know? I think that would be a nice award. We'd certainly turn up, yknowImean? [giggles, Chris smiles]
I: Errm...and if you could punch or snog either/or anyone here tonight, who would it be?
Matt: [scratches chin] mmm, that's a tough one...snog...there's quite a few slappers around. [Chris can't believe what he's hearing, breaks out in astonished laughter]
Dom: Rod Stewart's daughter looks pretty nice tonight....
Matt: Who? Who?
Dom: Rod Stewart's daughter, you know, she's....I think most blokes in this place tonight would probably like to snog her. So...you know...I'm one of them. [Chris wiping the tears from his face].
Chris: I dunno who's here. I've got no idea, who would I punch? I wouldn't punch anybody. I'd snog, I'd snog, erm..
Dom: Give Kelly Ozbourne a snog!
Chris: Yeah, maybe..maybe...
Dom: She's lovely...lovely girl.
Chris: I'm sure she looks a lot nicer in the flesh
Dom: and...
Chris: a hell of a lot nicer [Dom sniggers]
I: And Matt?
Matt: A cheap slapper, you know what I mean? Anything...anything...[high pitched giggle...Chris looking at him with hooooooge smile on his face]

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.
You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader (yeah, sure!), and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.
You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. (mpf)
